Rolwaling valley trekking is one of the frequently organized trekking trips in the Everest region. Rolwaling valley is a narrow mountain valley situated at 3,690 m altitude, just south of the Tibetan border, west of Mahalangur range below Gauri Shankar Himalayan range. Rolwaling trek is usually combined with Chho Rolpa and Dudh Kunda region trekking, therefore has been quiet demanding trekking trips. Rolwaling valley trekking no doubt offer amazing mountain vistas including of Mt. Everest (8848 m)—the highest peaks in the world, Mt. Rolwaling valley trek is also regarded to be best trekking destination in the eastern Nepal, located at the west of Khumbhu. This is an isolated mountain valley but rich in terms of natural beauty, waterfalls, glacial lakes namely of Tso Rolpa Lake, Buddhist monasteries and no doubt the trail leads you through remote and beautiful charming settlements of various ethnic groups.
Rolwalling valley trek begins with a short drive from Kathmandu to Barabise and then the trail passes through Tinsang la pass and then descends down to Bigu Gomba, and then alongside of Bhotekosi river, finally takes you to Rollwaling valley, one of the most remote and mysterious mountain valley and after making an excursion around, you will continue trekking to Beding and Na Gaun and then ascend up to Tso Rolpa lake side. And finally get down to Simi Gaun, Gongar, Surya Dovan, and finally to Charikot then drive back to Kathmandu.
