Mera Peak climbing is one of the most popular peaks for climbing in Nepal, the Mera Peak (6,554 m) high located in Everest region. It is one of the highly permitted peaks in the country for the climbing purpose, although Mera peak climbing packge is regarded to be one of the most challenging peaks for climbing. This peak was said to have first climbed by the British team in 1950 and was ascended by Col. Jimmy Roberts and Sen Tenzing on 20 May 1953. One of the reason why Mera peak climbing has been popular is because, the trail to this peak is such picturesque that it provides clear views of the several majestic mountains located in the Everest region, including of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Cho Oyu, among other mountains. Similarly, you will also be amazed with the wonderful landscape, rocky and sloppy hills, diverse flora, and fauna found in the area.
Mera peak climbing trip begins with a short flight from Kathmandu to Lukla or Kathmandu to Tumlingtar or Phaplu and continues through the classic route to Everest base camp via Namche Bazaar and finally you will reach to the spot and make successful summit and an excursion around, finally you will return back to Lukla subsequently to Kathmandu.
