Gokyo valley Renjo La pass trekking is another popular trekking destination in the Everest region. This trip is sometimes also combined with Everest base camp. This trek has been popular because, trekking offers breathtaking views of majestic mountains over 8,000-meter in height such as Mt. Everest (8,848 m), and Mt. Cho Oyo (8,201 m), Mt. Makalu (8,463 m), Mt. Lhotse (8,501 m). This trip also gives wonderful vistas of glaciers, snow-filled passes, incredible landscapes, sloppy hills, and so on. Moreover, you will have an opportunity to explore the rich culture of legendary Sherpa ethnic groups residing alongside the trial, their lifestyles, and so on. The trip also takes you to Nagpa la pass, Nepal Tibet border, and crossing this pass and Gokyo valley, you will reach Renjo La Pass (4,750 m) and have wonderful views of the mountain vistas and the glaciers you will retrace back to Khumbu. Nagpa La Pass once used to be the everyday path for traders and this is still used as a route to sell Tibetan goods coming down to Namche Bazaar.
Gokyo valley Renjo La pass trekking beings with a short flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and following the Dudh Koshi valley, the trail climbs up to Namche Bazaar. Subsequently, on the trail that goes through yak grazing settlements, you will finally reach Gokyo valley and you will have an excursion around the Gokyo lake and pass through Gokyo Ri 5,330 m from where you will have amazing views of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Makalu (8,463 m), Cho Oyo (8,201 m), Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m), Gyachung Kang (7,922 m) and other mountains located in the region. Subsequently, your trail leads you through Lumdeng, then your trip continues to Renjo La pass (5,360 m) from where you will have wonderful views of Mt. Everest, and then you retrace down to Thame valley and finally retrace back to Lukla.
