Ganesh Himal Pangsang La pass trek is a newly explored trekking trail in the northwest of Kathmandu valley. Ganesh Himal (7,422 m) is located between Langtang and Annapurna Himalayan. Thus, one of the attractions of Ganesh Himal trek is that you will have amazing mountain vista and also you have to pass through a number of mountain passes including Pang Sang La Pass (3,850 m), from where you will have stunning views of the majestic mountains including of Mt. Langtang, Mt. Ganesh Himal I, Ganes Himal II, Ganesh Himal III, Annapurna range, Manaslu range and many other snow capped peak. You will have an opportunity to explore the incredible landscapes, rocky and sloppy hills filled with snow, terraced farmland, and also the blend of diverse culture and tradition of various ethnic groups primarily of Tamang, Hyolmo, Sherpa etc, residing alongside of the trail. Similarly, you will also explore the various species of flowers including of orchid flowers and varieties of ferns, Jasmine, the forest dense with Spanish oak, blue pine, rhododendron flower among others. During the spring season, the rhododendron flower blossoms in such a way that really enchants you and make you fell to come time and again.
Ganesh Himal Pangsang La pass trek beings with one day drive from Kathmandu to Betrawati Bazaar, in Gorkha and continues to Satdobato alongside of Salankhu Khola to Bhalche finally reach at Gonga, where you will have a rest and acclimatize. Once you are ready, you continue trekking to Rupchet Kharka and finally pass Pang Sang La Pass (3,850 m) and then enter into Somdang, a beautiful Tamang village from where you will enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas and continue to Gatlang and popular for home stay and Tamang heritage trail and finally get back to Syabrubensi and retrace back to Kathmandu by public bus.
