Everest Expedition

Mt. Everest (8,848 m.), the world´s highest peaks is an ultimate destination of the travelers from across the world. This peak is located in Solukhumbu district at Nepal Tibet border. Mt. Everest is famously known as Sagarmatha in Nepal while it is known as ‘Mt. Chomolungma’ in Tibet. The Mt. Everest was was named to very same Sagarmatha in 1865 in order to honor Sir George Everest, the British surveyor General who had surveyed the height of Mt. Everest in between 1790 to 1866. Sir Edmund Hillary from New Zealand and Tenzing Norgay from Nepal for the first time made successful expedition to this highest peak on May 29, 1953. Following their successful triumph, Mt. Every year, a number of travelers make it to Mt. Everest. Mt. Everest expedition trip begins with a short flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and the trail continues along the classical route through Namchhe Bazaar and finally you will reach to the Everest base camp and then have expedition, and after having expedition, you will retrace back to Lukla through same route, subsequently return back to Kathmandu.
