Beating history on high mountains: Sanu Sherpa made the new record climbing world's 14 tallest peaks – twice
Sanu Sherpa created a new record in climbing History recently owning the world's highest 14 peaks above 8000 meters above. The man originated from the Makalu region in Shankhuwasabha, who had started his work as a porter get the great achievement of the rare feat of being at the top of the 14 peaks above 8000 meters twice in 17 years.
In the year 2005, a shepherd born in a remote village in Nepal's eastern part came to Kathmandu together with many dreams. He had come to Kathmandu with many dreams to make a comfortable life and at the same time, he also aimed to become the climbing guide, a highly paid and respected job that many of his peers would have thought of pursuing as a role model in the sector of mountaineering.
He started his work being a porter.
In 2006, Sanu became a climber after his successful expedition to Cho Oyu (8,012m) in the first attempt.
After 17 years back he constructed the history of the mountaineering sector.
The 47-year-old Sherpa made the first record being the first climber in the world to summit the world's 14 highest mountain peaks two times a feat that not any other mountaineer has achieved.
According to Pioneer Adventure, Sanu put his feet on 8,035 meters of Gasherbrum II in Pakistan, the 13th highest mountain in the world on Thursday morning.
"He was reached atop of Gasherbrum II at 8:18 am about Pakistan time, completing his double ascent of the world's highest 14 peaks above 8000 meters," Said Nivesh Karki source from The Kathmandu Post.
The International Mountaineering Climbing Federation recognizes eight - thousand among the 14 mountains that are standing in Nepal has 8 mountain peaks.
