Kristine Harila Norwegian citizen aims to set her way to make a new world record after Nirmal Purja (Nims Dai) for climbing an altitude of 8000 m above mountains within 6 months.

She has climbed the 7 highest peaks above 8000 m by April 2022.

To clarify, in 2019, Nirmal Purja set the world record with the accomplishment of the ascent of the 14 peaks within 6 months and 7 days as the previous record was before 7 years, while Harila has written that "Now I will show that it is possible for a girl to do the same." on her Gofundme page, anyone can check it for the reference.

Harila's Summited 14 peaks

On 1st July 2022, age of 36, Hrila set foot on the summit of Nanga Parbat, Pakistan.

She has climbed 7 out of 14 peaks above 8000 m mountains in the world up to now. Following are the highest peaks ascended by her.

• Everest (8848.86m)

• Makalu (8463 m)

• Lhotse (8516m)

• Kanchenjunga (8586m)

• Dhaulagiri I (8167 m)

• Annapurna I (8091m)

Explorersweb has written that Kristin Harila Climbed the last 6 world's highest level peaks in just by 29 days which was a quicker record than Nirmal Purja Did. In addition, she has also climbed Mount_Everest and LhotseLhotse in a single push as she hiked to Makalu's peak in less than a week after completing the Lhotse and Everest climbs," Of course, not an easy mountain, with much rock and ice, falls around us, especially from camp 4 to the summit and back without ropes," Harila quoted in an Instagram post after completing Nanga Parbat expedition.

"Dangerous Mountain? Yes, it is, more technical than anything we have done and so much warmer than climbing in Nepal"

Now she is attempting to climb Pakistan's peaks K2, Gasherbrum II, Broad Peak, and Gasherbrum I in summer.

Similarly, she is planning to involve Manaslu, Cho Oyo, and the Sisapangma expedition in the fall.

Determined Challenge to Purja's Record:

Kristine Harila is the determined character to break the record of Nirmal Purja's 14 peaks climbed in 6 months and 7 days as before, Kim Chang – Ho a South Korean mountaineer had completed the same attempt in seven years 310 days.

The climb of the 14 peaks is not a joke but requires an extreme passion for expedition and needed firm determination with enough economic accessibility. Additionally, climbers use helicopters to proceed to the base camp of mountains. Everest Base Camp or Annapurna Base Camp takes more than a week by hiking but the use of helicopters can take the trekkers or hikers just by an hour. That is the reason mountaineers use helicopters at high elevations to go to the mountain base camps. Oxygen is the life air at high altitudes so they use it as a supplement in their ascent in the high Himalayas.

Kristine Harila is also in the same way as Nirmal Purja as she uses the helicopter to shift in the mountain base camps and added oxygen for the supplement as Nims Dai Did.

She is one of the very determined adventurers who always pushes herself to achieve her maximum potential.

Kristine Harila has to make a long way to meet her achievement facing by Covid 19 challenge as Nirmal Purja had done the ascent of 14 peaks in 2019 before the pandemic hit the Asian countries.

China is still not open to international travelers, so the expedition of Cho Oyo and Shisapangma may get a significant challenge for Kristine Harila. Moreover, she was a cross–country skier before she was known as the highlighted fellow of the mountaineering section in 2021. It is no doubt, She had become the fastest lady to complete the Lhotse summit of the Everest region in less than 12 hours can call her Himalayan Yeti.
