Trip Description

Gokyo valley renjo La pass trekking is one another popular trekking destination in the Everest region. This trip sometimes also combined with Everest base camp. This trek has been popular as because, the trekking offers a breathtaking views of the majestic mountains over 8,000 meter height such as Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Mt. Cho Oyo (8,201 m), Mt. Makalu (8,463 m), Mt. Lhotse (8,501 m). This trip also gives a wonderful vistas of glaciers, snow filled passes, incredible landscapes, sloppy hills and so on. Moreover, you will have an opportunity to explore the rich culture of legendry Sherpa ethnic groups residing alongside of the trial, their lifestyles and so on. The trip also takes you to Nagpa la pass, Nepal Tibet border, and crossing this pass and Gokyo valley, you will reach to Renjo La Pass (4,750 m) and having wonderful views of the mountain vistas and the glaciers you will retrace back to Khumbu. Nagpa La pass once used to be everyday path for traders and this is still used as route to sell Tibetan goods coming down to Namche Bazaar.

Gokyo valley Renjo La pass trekking beings with a short flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and following the Dudh Koshi valley, the trail climbs up to Namche Bazaar. Subsequently, the trail that goes through yak grazing settlements, you will finally reach at Gokyo valley and you will have an excursion around the Gokyo lake and pass through Gokyo Ri 5,330 m from where you will have amazing views of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Makalu (8,463 m), Cho Oyo (8,201 m), Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m), Gyachung Kang (7,922 m) and other mountains located in the region. Subsequently, your trail leads you through Lumdeng, then your trip continues to Renjo La pass (5,360 m) from where you will have wonderful views of Mt. Everest, and then you retrace down to Thame valley and finally retrace back to Lukla.

Day 02: Full Day sightseeing of KTM Durbar Square, Swoyambhunath, Boudhanath & Pasupatinath Hotel

Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2840M) & Trek to Phakding (2800M) Approx.4 hrs Lodge (B/L/D)

Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazzar (3440M) Approx 6 hrs Lodge (B/L/D)

Day 05: Trek to Syangboche, Rest/Acclimatization and Back to Namche Bazzar approx 3 hrs Lodge (B/L/D)

Day 06: Trek to Portse Tanga (3790M) Approx 4/5 hrs Lodge (B/L/D)

Day 07: Trek to MachherMo (4470M) Approx 5 hrs Lodge (B/L/D)

Day 08: Trek to Gokyo RI (4750M) – Approx 4 hrs Lodge (B/L/D)

Day 09: Trek to Gokyo Peak (5463M) and Back to Gokyo Ri explore fifth lake and Cho oyu base camp back to Gokyo Lodges (B/L/D)

Day 10: Trek over Renjo la pass (5300M) & Lungden Approx 6/7 hrs Lodge (B/L/D)

Day 11: Trek to Thame Approx.4/5 hrs Lodge (B/L/D)

Day 12: Trek to Khumjung or Namche Approx 3 hrs Lodge (B/L/D)

Day 13: Trek to Manju or Phakding (2800M) Approx 5/6 hrs Lodge (B/L/D)

Day 14: Trek to Lukla 5 hrs Lodge (B/L/D)

Day 15: Fly to Kathmandu & Transfer to hotel, relax day after Long Trip Hotel (B/B)

Day 16: Reserve day (Incase flight cancelled due to Bad weather).

Day 17: Departure to Airport and Back to Home.
