Kali Gandaki River Rafting

Trip Description

Kali Gandaki River is considered as a holy river by Hindus and it originates from the upper Mustang area later joined by small streams flowing from the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna mountain ranges, and passes through the world´s deepest gorge between Dhaulagiri (8167m) and Annapurna(8091m) mountains. Kali Gandaki River rafting is a short trip filled with more than 35 adventurous rapids ranging from grade 2 4, most rapids are pool drop and there are surfing waves almost the entire way down the river. Rafting starts from Kushma, three hours drive from Pokhara and finishes near Mirmi dam in Syangja district.
During, Kali Gandaki River Rafting one can enjoy spectacular mountain views, lush vegetation, wildlife,   riverside scenery and white sandy beaches for camp, while challenging more exciting class 3 4 action during your full three days on the river until we reach the final section of relaxing flat water above the dam at Mirmi.


                                  Starting Point and ending point  Pokhara 

Day 01: In the morning, drive to Maldhunga near Kushma, which takes about 3 hours after small briefing on safety while rafting. Upon arrival in Nayapul, lunch and after packing gears and stuffs we will jump into river for some actions. We pass by some of the bests landscapes in the world, through the big rapids little brother(G 4) followed by big brother (G 4+) and large high surfing waves. We end the day rafting after the river merges with Modi khola and overnight camp on sandy Beach.

Day 02 : After breakfast and pack up, rafting starts with a Medium rapid named ´Morning rapid´ of grade 4 soon followed by chain rapids of grade 2 3 until we stop for lunch and maybe a bottle of beer. After lunch river flows along the green forests and hills with no civilizations where we approach other several grade 4+ rapids avoiding big holes and rocks before reaching our campsite for night. The day trip offers varied green vegetations, wildlife, colorful singing birds, view of hilly landscapes carved by the rivers.

Day 03 : After breakfast we start drifting on the series of small and medium rapids as well the high bouncing waves up to Kaligandaki Hydropower near Mirmi, the ending point of Kaligandaki River Rafting. Lunch in Mirmi and 5 hours drive to lake city Pokhara.
